Amanda this sounds wonderful. July is an exciting month for important activities this year. I wish so badly I could attend. You will have an incredible turnout!
I love the sonnet and wish I could take this class! I've always been inspired by the words themselves rather than "subjects" per say. The sound, texture, and music of words. The sonnet for me is a great container in which you can say anything as the form will hold it together -- yet you can also bend the rules and experiment within that constraint. Currently I'm doing a deep dive into dreams, color, and surrealism, and David Lynch for classes I'm preparing to teach.
David Lynch is your muse! He's truly such a great one, so much fun and wisdom. I echo your feelings about the sonnet. It's so cool to be able to have a clear structure within which one can play around.
Aphrodite Urania - Astrology in the voluptuous form of a celestial dancer - My muse led me to discovering a deck of star cards called Urania's Mirror (and there's even a little mystery that goes along with its story), which recently inspired me to start writing just for the sake of writing to my heart's content, while sharing what I love and learn about mythic beauty. Along with my muse, I also attribute the seeds of this inspiration to a vision I received at our summer retreat!
I wish everyone who attends Sonnets for the Muse workshop to have a wonderful time (and safe travels). It sounds dreamy. And I loved this offering by AYG: "She is Hecate appearing to me in a vision with her antlered staff beckoning me down a moonlit crossroads." Love! I'm there in spirit.
I love it!! Urania, isn't she the High Priestess of the muses and the mother of Mercury? How cool that you found this deck!? The workshop is only one day, unlike our previous adventures, but I will be in Scotland to scout out sites for future, longer retreats. If indeed we are able to leave the country in the future. Sigh. I love that Urania has already shown you a path towards writing for pleasure so early in your relationship. xoxo

Sad to miss you, but grateful for your blessings! Returning them 10 fold. x

The workshop sounds AMAZING💕❣️. My muse of the moment is an elderly pear tree/portal. She would adore a sonnet or more
I would read the heck out of your pear tree sonnet!! xx
Wah!! I'm in UK really want to come but I'm onsite at an event that weekend!!!! Wishing you and love and vibes for an incredible workshop
Sad to miss you but glad to know we'll be on the same land mass for a wee while! xo
I will have my festival flags in the sky, so I’ll ask the wind to collaborate and send blessings up to you x
