The New Moon in Aries arrives on Saturday, March 29th at 4am PST (with a partial solar eclipse in some parts of the world).
The New Moon is always conjunct the Sun (i.e. in the same sign), now in Aries.
Aries season invites us to build our confidence to resist, to stand up, and to fight back. Confidence only comes with practice.
To become confident in our resistance, we have to build strong open neural pathways through repetition.
In our Aries Season Witch Guide for this month our theme is “Empowerment.”
Being a witch means working with power, understanding it, sculpting with it, using it to co-create the world we long for.

This Aries New Moon couldn’t come at a better time, since despair (the feeling of powerlessness) has been visiting many of us recently as we witness students being disappeared, families bombed, libraries defunded, sewage poured in our drinking water.
But remember that we are part of a long lineage of people who have stood up in the name of emancipation, creativity, and care.
Remember that wherever there is oppression, there is resistance. And the more they oppress, the more they signal their fear of our resistance. Because our resistance is powerful.
The Moon teaches us that no matter what emptiness we pass through, our fullness returns and returns and returns.
Before there were kings and capitalists, the moon shone on the faces of our ancestors. The cycles of the Moon will persist long after the oppressors are gone and new species walk the earth.
The 1% operates by the 24-hour news cycle and quarterly profit incentives. We witches live in moon time.
We witches celebrate the Moon as She joins forces with the Sun in Aries, the sign of the warrior.
Warriors like Sitting Bull, Huey Newton, Harvey Milk, Boudicca, Toypurina, Che Guevara, and John Brown kept the fires of liberation and resistance burning for all of us.
In the season of Aries, they rise again and share their wisdom and energy with us.
On the New Moon in Aries, light a candle in the name of your favorite freedom fighter. May their energy bless and inspire you to rise in celebration of all that you love.
Hiss and roar,
Amanda

P.P.S. I want to do a campaign to help people buy eSims for Gaza. Does anyone know a good way to do this? I see a lot of different ideas online but I want to make sure the org I support is legit. Got any ideas? You can respond to this email or leave a note in the comments.
Bouquet has a new single!
My beloved podcast producer, Carolyn Pennypacker Riggs, the genius sonic talent who makes the songs on the pod that y’all love so much has a band — Bouquet — and… they just released a new single! Add it to all your playlists! She’s known for her dreamy, otherworldly vocals. And I always feel that her music heals and uplifts me. This song in particular comes at the perfect time because so many of us are feeling our fires of hope dwindling as we watch (gestures broadly) all of this. Carolyn is a rabble rouser and her music always rouses me to keep going. Carolyn told me that Hold On is a song to remind us to “HOLD ON PEOPLE! Hang in there. Hold on to your loved ones and hold on to yourself!!”😭😭😭 Their next single comes out on May 16th and is about astrology!?!
The Artist’s Deck - By Beth Pickens
Some you may remember Beth Pickens, the creator of The Artist’s Deck from our Between the Worlds podcast episode with her: The World Needs Your Art. Beth is an artist’s consultant who helps artists and writers finally make they know they have the capacity to create. This deck is like having her there rooting for you right in your studio or at your desk. It has helpful strategies for overcoming things like jealousy or procrastination, and invokes beloved elders like Yoko Ono. All artists need a cheerleader like Beth by their side! Get the deck here.
All About the Death Card … my interview on The Graced Podcast
As a Scorpio, I love to talk about the Death card, so I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to dish on it with the lovely Grace Duong. We discussed: “what it means to surrender to change, the power of initiation, and how embracing death — both literal and metaphorical — can lead to personal and collective rebirth. [I also share] my experience with loss, my perspective on witchcraft as a tool for shaping change, and how magic can help us navigate an ever-evolving world.” Grace is a fantastic host and I was honored to be a part of her podcast. I hope you tune in!
