About two and a half years ago, even before I started my PhD program at UCLA, I started to feel like I COULD NOT post online. Like it felt like my Instagram post button was surrounded by a force field that I didn’t even want to break.
Not only that, but getting out podcast episodes for Between the Worlds became next to impossible. Lots of reasons: I’ve been super busy, Carolyn (my producer) has been super busy, the world has been crazy, I started a PhD program, etc. etc.
Fine, no big deal, if you’re a normal person. BUT I MAKE MY LIVING BY SHARING MEDIA ONLINE. Like, it’s my job, so it’s been very worrying.
But the weird thing is, I started to have this REPULSION against posting online* RIGHT AS Saturn entered Pisces in March 2023, and Pisces occupies my 11th house — the house of (sharing things in) the public!
And just this week, right as Saturn is about to make its ingress into Aries, I just for the first time had this feeling like… I want to make a real, old fashioned, @OracleofLA style Instagram post again. 🤔 Take that, astrology skeptics!
Saturn leaves Pisces and enters Aries on May 24th at 8:36pm PST.
Now, here’s the thing about Saturn: Saturn teaches you how to commit yourself to your calling. Saturn is the sensation of contraction, it pushes in on you. Like the birth canal, Saturn is pressure. But ultimately that pressure helps you refine your purpose and create yourself anew.

Saturn is famous for calling you back to your purpose and your integrity.
I stopped posting on Instagram because my values and vision had changed a lot in the past decade or so, and my platform there wasn’t really in alignment with who I was anymore. But I couldn’t figure out how to change it, so I just stopped posting.
But during the Saturn in Pisces transit, I’ve been reforming, regrouping, refining myself and reconsidering who I want to be and what I want to share with the world.
Saturn transits are helpful because they show us where we’ve been wandering in the weeds. They help us realign ourselves.
A great way to work with Saturn is to look at your natal chart and see which house Saturn is transiting at any given time.
Today is also the first day of Gemini Season. As most of you know, I always give my paid subscribers a downloadable Witch Guide on the first day of the astrological season.
Today, instead of the Witch Guide for Gemini Season, I created a Witch Guide to help you navigate Saturn in Aries. You’re welcome!
In the guide you get:
A short essay about how to understand Saturn in Aries
Journal prompts for Saturn in Aries (and to help you reflect on Saturn in Pisces over the past two years)
A divination guide to help support you with the transit
A Saturn in Aries Ritual that can be used for ALL Saturn transits (hello Saturn return peeps!)
My revisioning of the Orphic Hymn to Saturn
Plus book recommendations, creativity prompts, ecology prompts, and suggestions for your Book of Shadows and more!
I hope you enjoy it! I will be sharing more about this on the upcoming New Moon next Monday, but in the meantime, you can get the Saturn in Aries (substitute for Gemini Season) Witch Guide below!
*I have been posting on stories, because that’s all I’ve really been able to eek out, re-sharing other people’s content. But I don’t really feel like that counts.
