You may have heard about how this New Moon in Aquarius is part of a special lunar series.
From the New Moon in Scorpio on November 1st of last year, all the way to the New Moon in Aries on March 29th, each New Moon is at 9 degrees.
That means we’ll have six New Moons at 9 degree in a row, starting in Scorpio (ruled by Mars) and culminating in the Aries (ruled by Mars) with a partial solar eclipse. And this year is a 9 year, a Hermit Year! Big energy is building!
Many astrologers will remind you to look at the planets in your natal chart that are on or around 9 degrees to determine which houses in your chart are likely to be activated by these transits.
For instance, my moon is in Leo at 10 degrees in the 4th House, and my Uranus is in Scorpio in the 7th house at 8 degrees. Both are within 1 degree of 9. So my 4th and 7th houses (pertaining to family and close personal relationships) will be activated this time around.
We have a few moons to go before the final denouement in this series in March.
Today’s New Moon comes a few days before Imbolc, the pagan holiday of awakening.
Today is a good time to look around in your life and see what energies you feel culminating, growing, and waking up.
Magic is usually most powerful when you work WITH the energy as it is moving to direct the flow, rather than trying to impose your vision on things that aren’t already interested in happening.
Witchcraft works best when we co-create with the world around us.
Aquarius is the sign of the water bearer. Use this New Moon to pour some life giving water on the seeds that want to grow and bear fruit this year.
