Ritual for New Moon (and Jupiter) in Gemini
How to attract abundance without taking it (or yourself) too seriously
Inside: A New Moon & Jupiter in Gemini ritual instructions plus a video to guide you for the ritual; ritual includes tarot, journaling, and a meditation on the House of Gemini plus further instruction so you can figure out which part of your life will be most impacted by this transit.
Since Jupiter JUST moved into Gemini on May 25, 2024, where it will be until June 9, 2025 - I thought it would be useful to utilize today’s New Moon in Gemini to do a ritual to help us grow… and have fun doing it!
Actual Video Footage of Jupiter in Gemini
I posted this video to my Instagram stories, and my friend Ariana Reines (poet and astrologer) dm’d me to say it reminded her of Jupiter in Gemini and I was like YES!! Jupiter, of course, rules law, politics, and big wigs; and Gemini is the kid who puts the wiggles into big wigs and doesn’t let us take ourselves too seriously.
New Moon + Jupiter in Gemini Ritual Instructions
I’m excited about this transit because Jupiter is moving into my 2nd House, which rules resources, security, values, ownership, and wealth. It never hurts to have the planet of abundance moving into your wealth sector!
For me, the 2nd house/sector is ruled by Gemini, which is all about intellect, curiosity, community and exchange. I’m excited to see what the Jupiter, the planet of wisdom, brings as it travels there.
The ritual I give you below will help you figure out what section of your natal chart Jupiter will be activating over the coming year, and how to call in the playful energy of Gemini to help you navigate this transit with maximum fun.
Here’s what you need to prepare:
An altar as you usually would (if you’re feeling overworked like me, all that means is a candle, some incense, and some other offerings - I chose honey, rose petals, and a cup of water on an altar I’d already built, easy peasy)
3 tarot or oracle decks (if you don’t have three, just use one! I chose to work with the Animal Messages oracle deck, the Rune Learning Cards deck, and The Sacred Web tarot deck, just to mix things up a bit)
A spell candle (I chose a money drawing candle by Art of the Root because Jupiter is moving into my 2nd House — but do what you feel like, no stress!)
A bell
Incense and a fan (if you don’t have a fan use a feather, I just chose my favorite Desert Rose incense because I had a full day of classes, doctors appointments, and a commute and I didn’t feel like rooting through all my incense! Use what’s easy and fun)
Some oil for your candle (I chose Goddess of Abundance from Art of the Root because, did I mention Jupiter is moving into my 2nd House? lol - but use whatever feels appropriate to you
Herbs to dress the candle (I used dried orange peels because that felt fun to me, but dill, rosemary, and basil all also work, or use your intuition)
A journal and writing implement
A fan (if you don’t have a fan you can use a feather, if you don’t have a feather, just use your breath!)
Ritual Instructions
All you have to do is follow along to the video I’ve posted below. I make it super easy for you. The video is a little over half an hour, including meditations, candle ritual, tarot and journaling.
You’ll have the opportunity to stop and start the video so you can take as long (or as short!) as you wish to do the ritual. I promise that if you do it, you’ll be glad you did. I was! Ritual always helps me feel more like myself, more in touch with my life and my values. Enjoy!
