Sun moves into Aquarius today.
Witches work with Aquarius season to expand their vision for what is possible in their lives and in the world.
It so happens that today’s ingress of the Sun into Aquarius also coincides with the New Moon in the same sign. Today is an Aquarius double whammy!
Aquarius is the sign of the visionary.
Our world needs visionaries, because in order for life as we know it to survive on this planet, we need to be able to imagine that another way of life is possible.
Visioning can help us see paths that had been hidden in the brambles. And visioning is a skill the tutelary diety of Aquarius (Saturn) wants to teach.
The word vision is a bit limiting, actually, because it implies something that is purely visual, that happens in the eyes.
More accurately we might call the process imagining. Imagining possibilities, new pathways and connections, new ways of life where every being is invited to belong.
Aquarius season invites us to imagine a new vision for the future of humanity (and ourselves).
When you have a vision, your path will appear before you.
Think of visionaries like Vandana Shiva, Arundhati Roy, Simone Weil, MLK, John Lewis, Ida B. Wells. They all knew where they were headed, and the world they invite us to co-create is a beautiful one.
Remember that the tarot card that corresponds to Aquarius is the Star card: a luminous beauty that leads us forward and guides us. As long as we move towards the Star, we can never be lost.
