Today’s live chat at 12pm PST is about the messages from your bloodline

Solar Power by Nadia Waheed.

Remember how in the New Moon video (for subscribers) we discussed how your ancestral lineage is telling a story, and the time has come to add your chapters to that story — ESPECIALLY when it comes to magic and enchantment? Well, THAT is exactly what we’re talking about today during the live chat. The thing you’ve been looking for has been with you the entire time and you ALREADY KNOW how to make it work… so join us at the Live Chat today at 12pm on the Substack APP.

Mustard exorcisms, and why you need one…

Dr. Singha’s Mustard Bath.

I don’t know if it’s my hormones, my overwhelming schedule, the chaos in the world or what, but lately I’ve been so dang tired! Just murky, you know? So, on the New Moon, even though I didn’t “feel like it,” based on my own recommendation, I took a walk a walk to invite beauty into my life (I found it in the form of 5 rabbits, 4 owls, and a beautiful garden of native plants), and then came home and took a mustard bath. I got this stuff on impulse the other day, and I have to tell you, it’s a game changer. I felt like something was sucked out of me, in a good way. Mustard has been used for millennia to purify and extract. It can even heal bee stings. I have a lot more to say about mustard, but I’ll save it for the next Witch Guide. In the meantime, try a mustard bath. This one has also got eucalyptus, rosemary, thyme and benzoin!

Magical Opportunity: Monday is your last chance to sign up for the Summer Solstice Retreat

Sun Card, 16th Century.

I meant to close the retreat last week but couldn’t because I got caught up in the campus resistance movement. Which is good because a) student movements are just what the world needs right now and b) if you’ve been wanting to join the retreat but worried you’d missed your chance… you didn’t! I’m not exaggerating to say that this retreat will change the course of your life in a beautiful way. If you’re ready to say yes to your magical practice, join us for Witchcraft 1: Bright Life Forces. Find out more here!

Something to be proud of…

Thank you all so much for joining me in raising funds for UNRWA (The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) on the Full Moon in Libra. We were able to raise $2500! Over $450 more than we raised for ANERA (American Near East Refugee Aid) back in December. So that’s nearly $5k in the past six months. May each dollar take root and sprout in love, may the people of Palestine feel our care, may our collective wisdom lead to peace, and may each of us find a way to place our stone in the path towards liberation for all people of the earth!

The Laugh of the Medusa: Thurs. May 16th, 6pm

Art by Jemima Jameson.

For our reading group next Thursday at 6pm, we’re reading the text The Laugh of the Medusa, by Helene Cixous. A text which LITERALLY changed my life when I first read it in my early 20s. I made my final project based on this text as an undergrad, and I used a quote from it as an epigraph in my book, INITIATED: MEMOIR OF A WITCH. However, I haven’t read the full essay for DECADES… and I’m a little afraid to now. Haha. It’s always strange to revisit the things that blew your mind open in your youth. But I can’t think of any group of people I’d rather discuss this text with. I’ll see you next Thursday!

Here’s a link to the essay, The Laugh of the Medusa, by Helene Cixous.
