The Scorpio Full Moon on Monday, May 12th provides us a chance to rid ourselves of the things that haunt us.
I love this quote by Avery Gordon:
Among the beliefs held by old-time religion southerners collected by Zora Neale Hurston during her travels and research trips and recorded in ‘The Sanctified Church’ was that “Ghosts hate new things.” The reason why is because ghosts are characteristically attached to the events, things, and places that produced them in the first place; by nature they are haunting reminders of lingering trouble. — Ghostly Matters, p. xix
Fascism is nostalgic. It wants us to dedicate ourselves to a version of the past that never existed but haunts us anyway.
The Scorpio Moon gobbles that which resists change. Scorpio embodies the energy of purification and transformation.
When the Sun is in Taurus and the Moon is in Scorpio, truths emerge so that healing can take place.
Only by listening to the truths of our bodies can we ever hope to build a regenerative culture.
But that same need to tell the truth is also necessary in our neighborhoods, our homes, our families, our relationships, and our lives.
If we listen closely to the Scorpio Full Moon, the truth she whispers can help to liberate us from the untruths of the past.
If you're ready to let go of what haunts you, join me on Monday, May 12th at 6pm PST. I'll be holding a Full Moon Circle to help us access the healing truths of Scorpio.
We will be doing purification rituals to clear out the conditioning of the dominant culture and access our authentic self.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, this one’s for you!
Join us for the ritual or watch the replay.
